So, I thought of a cool idea for everyone to figure out how to find crafters in their area. If you are interested, simply reply here with a message including your state first, then city, then name, and email address.

NOTE: IF YOUR STATE IS ALREADY LISTED, SIMPLY REPLY TO THE COMMENT WHERE ITS LISTED.

For example, as soon as I'm finished with this entry, I'll post a comment that will read:

Washington, Seattle - Jessica - jessica AT disorg DOT net

And then anyone in Washington will simply reply to my comment. This way you will get emailed (if you have this option turned on) anytime a new crafter shows up in your area. :)

Because I think it would be nice, if ya'll are interested, I will create a webpage that can include this info, divided by state, with a short little bio about each person and what crafts they do. (please include in your comment that has location whether or not you think its a good idea)

I thought this would be a cool idea since I'm sure a bunch of us would be up for meeting and having stitch*bitch type things.

Hey gang! Been lurking for a while now, decided to finally join and post my craftiness of the weekend. I suppose its actually more cooking than crafting, but I think the artistic part of it lets it be posted here :)

I looked back through the journal postings and the FAQ on here and did not find anything to do with baby food jars...

I was wondering, outside of mini candles, if there is anything I could do with them?
I feel bad just throwing them away.
They are the glass ones. And they are the size 2 glass ones...which are slightly smaller then large one and so on...I will be getting alot of these......so I don't want to just throw them away.

Any suggestions?

I also have empty metal formula cans and I am stumped at what to do with them as well.

Forgive me for posting in here again...lol

I am all moved to NC now and I have the Mason Jars here. There was someone who was interested in them, she had a turtle icon (YAHAHAHAH!!!), and I was going to mail her some.

Forgive me for forgetting your name.

I've been looking high and low for a really good pattern tracer. You know the little wheels with the spikes in it? Well I can only find the really dull ones that don't go through anything. So what do I happen to stumble across the other day in a pr0n catalog (don't ask), a pattern tracer with big spikes like I want labelled as a "sensation wheel." What the heck? If anyone knows of any place on line that sells really nice pattern tracers, let me know, otherwise I am going to have to order this sensation wheel from Adam and Eve.

I'm going to a dark-themed play party soon, and I need to make a velvet cape!

I have a Simplicity Pattern (5794, sleeve photo shown under the LJ cut), but the thing is, it'll take at least 6 1/2 yards of fabric. I want to make this cape out of black velvet (or something that looks like velvet). So...

Does anyone know any discount fabric websites?

I work at a fabric store, so I know exactly how expensive 6 1/2 yards of crushed velvet would cost me. *eep*

If anyone knows any discount fabric sites I could check out, I'd love you forever!

I have been thinking of either buying or making a new double futon cover for my futon couch in red or hot pink.. and then making pillow covers for the long pillow (red and pink stripeys), the floor pillow (pink, red, leopard patches) and the foot-stool (pink fuzzy top). I already took the footstool outside and painted it's wooden edges and feet a glossy black. Waiting for the futon color until I buy any fabric to coordinate with it.

La lala.

Finding silicone glue in Atlanta is like trying to find the lost city of Atlantis. The ONLY silicone glue I found was at Home Depot but it was in a giant tube that you need a caulk gun for. Not exactly manageable.
I've looked at 2 Michael's, JoAnn's and Home Depot.

Where are y'all finding it? It's starting to drive me nuts!

i'm sorry, i know this is listed somewhere, but it's been a long day and i can't find it...

i remember seeing a website of a girl who made a felt kitty hat? no knitting, crocheting, anything, just the simple stuff. felt. scissors. sewing machine.

thank you.

so, i'm a bad girl and have one of those burger king brownies at least every other day. for those who abstain from such sinfulness, they come in little plastic containers with clear tops and black bottoms. it always seemed like waste to throw them away, so the other day i finally figured out a way to recycle them! i used flat side marbles and small pictures, like the marble magnets, and then used liquid nails to attach them to the brownie container (sans brownie, of course). it's very cute, though i think with the next one I will figure out a way to re-enforce it a little as it is a bit flimsy. i'll scan pics once i ge them.

i finished my corderoy skirt with a matching purse! well i still need to put a button on the skirt, but my mom has to help me with that when she gets home because i cant figure out how to get the darn snap buttons attached. The cord bag is hard to see because it blends in with the skirt. I did the skirt without a real firm plan or a pattern, I just sort of made it up as I went along. The skirt has an angle on the bottom of it. I copyed that from one of my friends skirts that I liked.
