Well, I didn't exactly craft anything new (yet!), but my heart skipped a couple of beats when I found this in a thrift store. Since I know a lot of you are interested in sewing, and a lot of you are interested in vintage things, I just thought I'd share my elation (and maybe gloat a little).
( Powder blue Singer 348 sewing machine, made in 1966. )Whoever owned it took care of it very, very lovingly. The engine is well-maintained, and the machine is in excellent running order. I did a few test different test stitches and stuff, and everything came up perfectly. It even has spare bobbins, feet and other attachments!
Best part? It was only $AU30! And even if the machine didn't work, it would have been worth it just for its colour and the pictures in the manual!
