A friend of mine absolutely loves 'THE PAGE MASTER', namely, the Horror Book.
I've searched everywhere for a good picture of him, but I can't find one anywhere.
Any site I search gives me the same 2 horrible pictures that are completely un-usable.
Can anyone help me find one?
It would be appreciated millions.

So, it was my roommate's birthday today. She's been feeling kind of down lately due to some stinky life-stuff, so I wanted to do something that would be meaningful and special.

Thus, in addition to some other presents, ( hilarious madness ensued. )

AND I finished the paper I should've been writing during those two hours. YESSSSS.

Curious...

Hey folks! I was wondering of anyone here was from Norfolk, Virginia and area. I'll be in Virginia for one day (to pick up a puppy) and I have a few hours to kill before I meet with the foster parents (they have to drive to Maryland and won't be back in town until 8ishpm and I fly in at 3:30pm). I was wondering if there were any nice crafts stores close by Military Circle Mall (I'm going to be in the Econolodge across the street from There). I don't have a lot of money to spend on cab fairs or anything, I just want to do something while I wait. I'm especially interested in bead stores (although a general craft store is cool too!) Thanks in advance!

My cats have taken to chewing cords and other strange stuff around the house. So I am looking into suggestions of either crafty ways to make them toys that will keep them entertained (they eat feathers or dangly stuff) or crafty cover ups of computer/tv cords. So what have you crafty people out there done? I need HELP! The cords will thank you...

Here are the culprits...

(Apologies in advance if this has been covered before and is hiding out in the memories, but I did have a wee look beforehand.)

I'm planning on doing a mural of sorts on the tiles over a bath.Right now they're bog-standard white ceramic bathroom tiles, with dirty grout (if that's what it's called, not too up on my tile lingo here).

Before I go ahead with this and it all peels off the first time someone splashes it with soapy water, are there things I should be taking into account, such as:

+ Fancy waterproof, extra-strong paints, or can I use something cheaper (presumably not water based though?) and then coat it in a hard-wearing protective varnish or similar?

+Can I use paints not designed for tiles to create different effects/surfaces?

+ Will I need to use a primer or something like that to start with?

+ Are transfers totally out of the question? (once upon a time I transfered pictures onto some canvas chuck-like shoes using acrylic gel medium and aside from going cloudywhite when I walked through puddles, the images stayed put, but perhaps that's because it could soak into the canvas a little bit, which might not happen on slidy tile-surfaces) I'm sure I *did* read a little about this in the memories, but what I need to know is if these surface will stand up to potentially heavy use/coatings of bubble bath and assorted gloop)

Thanks very much! I will let you know how this works out.

I was thinking it would be nice to be able to make soap with sanitizer in it.How would you be able to go about that? Could you just use regular sanitizer and just add it to glycerine?

TIA.

Who has worked with Lure Craft plastic?

Apparently very few things work as an adhesive for lurecraft plastic. Super glue does work, but I don't trust it and it tends to dry brittle and crack with age, blah blah. So far i have tested hot glue gun, Plumber GOOP, E-3000, and regular GOOP. All of them slide right off the plastic when dry.

Does anyone know of any other substance besides super glue that will definitly work? (The plastic is super soft and rubbery PVC)

Thanks =)

hi all! i'm new...i searched the memories/FAQ but couldn't find anything exactly pertaining to my question. I am interested in painting basic vans slides to make something similar to these:

basically i need something that will allow me that level of detail and still be somewhat durable, minimal cracking/peeling. i know a lot of that (at least, the detail part) is in the technique, but any recommendations for types of paint or sealants to use? do you think regular painting acrylics would hold up, or should i do a trip to Pearl?

any suggestions are appreciated. thanks!

I love buttons! I got this unique idea here: button bouquet on crafster.org.
I plan to work on it a little bit more. I think it needs more "flowers" and a different container, but for now, it's at least got a good start. Best thing is, it doesn't have to be watered!

I am seriously having the most trouble ever with Paper Cranes.

I did check the memories, and I went to the website listed, however, I still can't do them! I feel so dumb, haha. The worst part is that when I was about 8 I used to be able to do them...

On the website I keep getting lost from about step 16 on.

I've looked up about a million websites and I can't seem to find one that helps me.

So if anyone could help me I would appreciate it so much!

Thanks!

so i found myself with some time to kill and about a billion craft projects on the go, but i wasn't in the mood for finishing anything (cause most of them will take a few days) so i thought i'd start something new. I got a soy candle kits off of ebay, and i decided to have a go at making my own candles.

I used two wanna be brandy snifters that i got at the dollar store. They are vanilla cookie scented.

this is what they looked like directly after pouring the wax into the snifters.

So this weekend, my parents came home with a surprise for me. :)
I've been looking at sewing machines, but just haven't had the extra money to splurge for one.
They were doing their weekend yard sale thing and stopped at one where a woman had singer sewing machines that she was selling for $5 each! My parents decided to get me one, they said if it didn't work at least they only spent $5 on it.
Well, it works really well! :)
I put together an ugly little bag, just to play with stitching and such.
Then I was inspired by a post on the craftster boards, where someone made a camera cozy.
I'm really rough on my camera (haha, ie-getting hit hard in a Halifax pit) I decided to make it a cozy little sleeping bag, from flannel and fleece. :)
Look! )

I was pleased, for it being my first sewing project!

I have never posted here before, mainly because I have been too lazy to post my crafty-ness, but now I finally have something I want to show off! My sister and I made a dress and I just wanted to put it up here because I am oh-so proud of it =)
Here it is )

First time poster...and I'm still trying to work out how LJ works, so bear with me.
The house I recently moved into came with a sewing machine and I've been teaching myself to sew. I have no interest in making my own clothes, so bags it is.

JESUS CRISTO! (the necklace.. and some pins..) )

I've never sold any of my work before, but I was wearing a pair of my shrinky dink earrings to the movies and the woman selling tickets just HAD to have them, so i traded free movie tickets for them. I was SO PROUD. Unfourtunatly I never took a picture of the ones that I gave her. D: They were robots.

I could easily and have easily wracked up 60 or more dollars of crafts in those adorable catalogs. like orental traders

I like to study the pictures then try my hand and making it myself in ways to personally suit me. I'm not even contimplating that for selling though, just personal enjoyment and charity works.
