I put it on the front cover of the card I made for him :)

good crafternoon!

i have a question and i hope you have an answer! it's probably a long shot but here goes........

i have a large (11" x 17") "stencil" that i printed off stencilry.com and i want to put it on to poster board because it is more durable.... are there any trips to transfering this over?

it's super intricate so i don't think i could tape it on and cut through both with an exacto knife...

so far, the best plan i've come up with is to make a grid over the image and a grid on the poster board and draw it on to the poster board....but this will take forever!

any helpful tips would be mucho appreciato

Remember the dead-cat felt? Well I found the most hilarious use for cat hair on youtube the other day. Please note that this one does not require any animal to in any way suffer or expire.

I thought I'd ask for a little help here. I've googled, looked through the memories, and surfed through sites like knitty and crochetme, and I can't find a good mesh bag pattern. I've got tons of cotton yarn, and I'd like to make some smallish bags for grabbing produce at the store, but all the patterns I've found are for large market bags.

Can anyone help? I'm crap at adapting patterns for crochet and knit, but any advice would be helpful.

I hope I haven't spammed the community something awful. Thank you very much!

So I found this pattern for a really cute sumo wrestler doll, and I thought it'd be nice to make for my boyfriend as part of a care package I'm putting together for him.

Only problem is - I didn't inherit my mom's mad sewing skills.

I get the basic idea of it, after putting in some serious contemplation, the only problem I have is that I have no idea what those stitch names mean D:

I googled them and I couldn't find some of the names that they had - which makes me think that they were kind of smushing together sewing terms that a person who can actually sew would understand. Ergo - I have no idea what they're talking about and google isn't helping much.

If someone could maybe look at these instructions and tell me what the stitch names mean and maybe direct me towards some instructions for doing them, I'd really appreciate it!

Instructions here.

I've been having trouble locating the fabric prints that I want and am interested in doing something fairly simple in technique that will have quick results and won't take lots of practice or skill...also known as I don't want to learn how to screen print or have to use stencils. So I was wondering what supplies you recommend to say make my own stamps? I was thinking layering up the foam you can buy in sheets to a decent thickness like you can find in foam stamps, cutting a fairly basic design out of it with not alot of detail and adhereing foam thing to a piece of wood. I know about using fabric paint and all the good stuff. I was just wondering if anyone knew if my method is a good way to go or if there is something better. Also I don't cook meat that often so I don't have those meat tray things, though I've heard they could work too. I'm looking for something easy to make and that will take a design easily and transfer it onto fabric well.

This is not a piece of digital work.
Drawing on 9x11 sketchpad paper.
Pen and Prismacolor Markers.
Hue and Saturation adjustment only in Photoshop CS.

Hello crafty-arty peoples: I have some questions related to marker usage!

1. Can anyone recommend an inexpensive site in which to purchase Prismacolor Markers? The cheapest I found are $20/12 Ct Set, $1.84/Single Marker. :/ Actual art stores are not an option as I live in northern northern Maine and am traveling to Europes soon for seven weeks. :D
2. I have never used a blender pen. Are they recommended? Does it make a difference?
3. What do you draw on? Sketch pads, bristol board, your little brother...?
4. Red Rover, Red Rover sent Marty right over?

Tip as promised: If you open the widest end of the marker (it kinda pops off with a little devoted pulling) and put in a few drops of rubbing alcohol (with a little pipette), it will temporarily revive your markers! I know this works on Prisma markers (they are alcohol-based) because I have been trying to extend the life of my markers for a few weeks now, but it is not a permanent fix. And it's messy. (I usually use a plastic bag to hold onto the tip while pulling...)

Don't go overboard with the alcohol. Too much and it drips through to the other end.

Always looking for new crafty lj friends. I'm F-only, but will friend anyone with common interests. <3

Thank yooou.

Just finished two projects. I wish I could remember where I've put all my heart shaped split rings. I hate loosing stuff.

Anyway, here is my new magazine tote and ID holder.

I've finally completed my vinyl edition of my bat wallet. Some may remember the ones I posted previously that were made of felt.
I've also made a couple of other wallets from vintage materials. The two are in my Lumberjack Wallet Series. so expect more. And there are a couple of other things that I've made:
