Here's my next round of felt food: eggs and cinnamon rolls.

2 more back here )
I'm still hoping to make some toast and try to make a glass of milk again (I canNOT get it to cooperate), but we'll see...the party's on Saturday and I'd like to make little bags with the girls' names on them too.

What a great community! I joined this community after  [profile] shamanlady  told me about posting pics of her smudging fan here. I have a wee bit of an obsession with making smudging fans. Behind the cut are a few of my recent ones. I made some this weekend that I'll post later.

Happy Wednesday!

I'm still cozy crazy. I love these guys! They're so fun to make and they're so full of personality! This one is for my fiance's mother, who has a chihuahua called Dee Dee (Delilah).

Next up I have plans for a robot and a penguin, so stay tuned!

I am looking for a piratey sort of lettering to use for a cross stitch sampler.

Generally speaking, I like the look of this Celtic alphabet, but am wondering what else is out there.

Ideas..?

Thanks in advance!

  • 100% self made
  • real combat armour
  • shaped steel plates, thick leather
  • Hand-coined accents and clasps, rivets - hand made casting
  • Assembled with natural leather rope
  • 350 scales, 200 yards of leather lacing, and I don't remember how much hand-coined brass accents and rivets
  • 4 craftsmen's work - brass works, casting, scales and leather assembling and final assembling

You know those cheapie plastic toys that come in a bag and are different fun colors? Like, there'll be a bag full of dinosaurs, or a bag full of frogs, or a bag full of fish, or a bag full of lizards, etc. What are those toys called? I'm googling but coming up empty handed. I need them for a craft project.

Okay so, I just scored my first car. Its a super old 1986 cargo van and I really want to give it some personality. I want it to be all kinds of interesting and colorful and funky on the inside. I want people to laugh and smile when they climb in for a ride because it looks so out of the ordinary.

Im talking furry wheel cover, funky seat covers, carpet in the back, string lights around the top...shelves, colorful curtains for the back windows and all that kind of good stuff.

I was wondering if anybody had any ideas for fun little things I could do to dress up the interior. I was thinking about getting little strips of fabric and some double sided tape to decorate the individual slats on the AC vents.

It doesnt have to be anything big and elaborate, and it doesnt have to be permanant by any means..I just want to have fun with it. This van is already a junker, so I'd might as well get my kicks while I can.

Also, if anybody knows where I can find a forum/community dedicated to this kind of fun car stuff I'd appriciate a link. Every time I look up car customization on google I just get links to tricked out cars, and custom paint jobs for big super shiny caddys and stuff. Totally over my head lol.

And so this isnt just text, here are some pictures of the van itself =D

tie-dyeing

Gonna have a tie-dye party for my birthday! I'm ordering one of these kits from Dharma Trading Co. and I had a question after reading the instructions.

they say to squeeze the dye onto the clothing with bottles. I remember tie-dyeing stuff at camp (a looooooong time ago) and we dunked it in buckets of dye. Anyone have more info about the bucket method? I kind of wanted to do it that way to get a certain effect.

Okay, first off, thank you again to everyone who replied about the couch problem. I'm sure we're going to deal with it this week, so I'll let you know what we did & what happened.

More importantly! I decided I needed to make my desktop Charlie the Tuna lamp even tackier, so I covered the shade with this terribly obnoxious lace I found in my stash.

Backpack!

I have a couple more of these to make (mine was the guinea pig), so if anyone's interested I could make a tutorial.
