My boyfriend left a box of cheese nips by the computer with instructions not to eat them. I ignored his instructions and then made these out of eraser clay.

What's a good source for pleather/vinyl I can use to make pants and purses and bustiers? I know denverfabrics.com usually has it, but where else can I look that consistently has it in stock? (ie, not Ebay) None of my local stores ever really have it, except that horrible thin really cheap stuff sometimes at Halloween.

Here are some wood bangles. I make them all myself. Note the wood ranges from $18 a board foot to $50. And i get  2 sometimes 3 bangles from one board. And takes me two hours to make one.
What price would you recomend me sell them at?

Jean Skirt

Question:

I have turned a pair of blue jeans into a skirt, but when I sewed the back, it pooches out a little. If I rip the seam out further up and sew it further over, it's going to make the skirt tighter.

I am a newbie with this sewing stuff so any suggestions would be helpful.

Thanks!

Alright -- I reshot photos of the book. I also made a mini-book (to pass around during the final presentation in class, since the original book is delicate -- and I also don't want to get it dirty, since we are having a potluck during our critique).

Photographs of both the original & mini-book are at this link:

Also, the story text & all fifteen photographs are also available for viewing. :)

I'm sorry to ask this, but I'm not really sure where to go. Has anyone ever ordered from girlprops.com? I'm just curious how their service is because I'm thinking of getting some jewelry from them.

Thank you!

Okay. I just want a little advice before I start pricing things for this project I want to do.

I have these two pressboard pieces of furniture (a printer table and a glass cabinet to be exact) and I want to paint them purple to go with the room.

My question is should I beware using paint on these? Or will it be okay to color them and make them look better?

Also, I'm trying to do a shelf above some blinds, does anyone know if they sell pre-made decorative cut shelving? Any help would be great, thanks! ^.^

Alas, my last entry in this community for a while... I will be moving into a new apartment soon, and I will have nothing. No Tv, No Internet, no nothin'!! Needless to say,

So, I would like some big projects to do. My first thought was that I wanted to crochet a hoodie. I have found some patterns for sweatshirts, but I don't know how to go about doing the hood part. I don't want a drawstring one, just a regular old hood. I don't know how to make my own patterns, but I can follow anyone you give me. I'm not good at math it turns out, and my head gets befuddled with numbers with the simplest tasks. If someone makes me a complete hoodie pattern, I would be willing to reimburse them for the service.

I will also be making candles with some of my agate in them, kind of like little prizes, to give to the younger generation of my family. Is there anything special I have to do when doing this? I know to keep them from touching the wick, but anything else?

Merci!

(x-posted)

(Edit: I just realised there are different meanings of the word 'hoodie' I just mean a hooded sweatshirt that you pull over your head, no buttons or the like.)

I'll delete this if I am breaking a rule... I'm not sure if I am.

I know the book clutch thing has been asked before, it's in the memories. I've looked at all of those posts and the posts in other communities about book clutches. All of the links to tutorials are broken. I am not asking for a tutorial. I can pretty much figure it out on my own. I am just wondering, how would I attach the cloth to inside of the book cover? That's the only part that I can't figure out. Would I hot glue it on? I have no clue.

Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

Oh and if you could help me with my book binding questions here. That would be really awesome.

So, I'm stenciling my boyfriend a couple t-shirts for his birthday, because all of his shirts have giant holes in the arm-pits, and I like to paint on things.

He's a DJ, and his name is Teddy, so his DJ name is DJ Teddy Ruxpin, hence the shirt.

This is the first stencil that I've done, and am surprised at how well it's turning out so far.

I have a question about getting glue off of some shoes. I have some Aleene'sJewel-It glue on a shoe and I want to know if there is any way that I could get it off.

Thanks!

This shell caught my eye when I was walking on the beach with my friend eucharisjones the other day... The bead is a black freshwater pearl. Do you like? It's gotta be the biggest pendant I have ever made/worn. I'm in this huge big jewlery kick these days! :)

Hi, it's my first post. ^_^ Bit nervous, of course, that either A) I suck or B) I'm somehow posting wrong. So if in either case I am, do tell.

I've been feeling especially crafty lately, so I've been making no end of wearable and otherwise neat things. The digital camera finally turned up (strangely enough, exactly where I left it), so here they are, in descending order of how many images are in each. Seven pictures total, so a little patience may be needed on slow internet. I figured I might as well post them as a clump and not clog up the community with three different posts. Can separate them if you'd prefer, though, or explain how they were done if I'm confusing anyone.

tonight I made my first bag/sewing project with a sewing machine. I got my grandma to help me, I did most of it but she helped me with some details :]

I made it out of some oceany/fish material i got from my aunt and some checkered ribbon I got at jo-anns the other day. I'm quite happy with it, but I think i'm gonna stencil something onto it later..I don't know what though *shrug*
