I haven't posted here in a long long time! I used to post once in a rare while under my other username, [livejournal.com profile] wary. I thought I'd show off some of my altered dolls.

I made this cow TP cozy for a couple-friend of mine who call each other My Moo. It was inspired by Roxycraft's cow. :)

Remember forever ago, when I did these design sketches for a customer's commission?

Sketch also cut, upon request... )

He chose three of the basic leaf design shapes. He sent me a deposit. Then, I waited a rather long time to know the last few details of what he wanted me to do with them (some of the stones, finish, etc.). Finally, he left it up to me. Then, I waited a rather long time to know where to send them. He still hasn't told me, actually. Seeing as it's been about a year, I'm sending them to his son, who he will be seeing for Christmas. It's his perogative to wait, and he's got good reasons to be hard to reach, but I only have so much space to carefully store things. Eniways, with them on the way, I feel that I can finally post them. Well, I posted the first one a while ago, and one of the others is a variation on this one. This one, in fact...

But...here are all three...

Can anyone help me find this bead?? Here are a pair of earrings I made with it, and you have a nice close up shot:

I am looking for the bead on the bottom: it is a faceted Czech glass bead in kind of a rose gold color. I am DESPERATE to find it. My local bead store is out of it, and I can't seem to find it anywhere else. I have scoured the internet and can't seem to find it.

Does anyone have any suggestions??

So my mother has been in need of a new "Joy of Cooking" since our old one wore out.... about 6 years ago. So I hate boring wrapping jobs, and conveniently I had some free time, and some faux-fur laying about...

Let me apologize for being a bad photographer first.

I'm super beginner at making jewelry, but I decided to do a bracelet for my friend's girlfriend for Christmas.  I got a book, followed the pattern and got this )

I've been watching this community for awhile and finally have a small little something I'd like to share... simple as it may be.

My boyfriend's birthday is far too close to Christmas, and I hate hate hate wrapping birthday presents in Christmas wrapping. Sooo I bought shipping paper and got creative with old magazines and stamps. Hope you like! [he did! he wouldn't rip the paper!]

some pics are kind of big ..

happy happy birthday ripping! )

New bracelet! I'm very happy with this one. I'm also happy with how the picture turned out. I finally gave up on getting good digital pictures, so I bought a scanner last night. So far, it's working much, much better than the digital camera.

Are you bored with these yet?
I'm not!
But I'm still bored with the ho-hum t-shirts residing in my closet.
This shirt was my husband's.
Neither of us wore it anymore, so it was one of the chosen to be beautified.

Here we go, before:

And, after... )

Thanks so much for your compliments on the scarf I made for my mom! You guys are awesome, and your feedback meant a lot to me.

To refresh your memory a bit before I ask my question:

Now I've got a question for any of you with felting experience. The scarf is a little...hard. Like, it's not bendy at all. Has anyone felted a scarf before and had this problem? Does the problem solve itself eventually, or is there something I can do to soften it?

Thanks in advance, girls! Happy holidays!

I have been looking for the site and post with the tree made out of candy. I had a question on what the person used to for a base? Anyone know where I can find it?

first time poster, long time lurker.

i really wanted to make a pop-up card for my boss and her husband, and after much hand cramping x-acto knife abuse, i did it. unfortunately it's not exactly what i originally had in mind, but at least it's done.
