I finally got my new iPod today, so of course the first thing that I did was make a new case for it!
hooray, video ipod! )

Also, does anyone know of anyplace in NYC with a wide variety of cookie cutters? Specifically, I'm looking for beer mugs and leprecauns. Snakes might also do.

I'm taking a knitting class and have conquered the dreaded dishcloth... and now I'm ready for my next project. I need something that involves casting on, knit, pearl, increase, decrease and bind off (I guess some of those are obvious) but I can't seem to find a simple pattern. All the hats I find seem to use double pointed or circular needles, and FAQs pointed to alot of nice sites, but they don't seem to have what I'm looking for.

Maybe I'm looking in all the wrong places?

I'm open to making just about anything, from a scarf/hat to a tampon cozy.

This is my very first pillow. It's made from some vintage fabric I found at the thrift store and a recycled skirt. The button is also vintage.

Hi everyone :)

This is my first post in the craftgrrl community :)
I decorated this journal with ribbons to tie the book together, and pasted a picture that i took of my cat and then edited on the cover.
Here it is:

I made those last night. I found this stain-glass owl template here and then cut out seven owls from scrapbooking paper I had. A little mix&matching and a gluestick later, I got these.

I made this Lucky Shamrock using a pattern from Beadwork February/ March 2006. It's made with size 6 or 8 beads. I decided to make one leaf gold to make it fun, interesting, and more lucky!

It took me about 2 hours to do, and I am pretty experienced. I was watching TV at the time, so if I went at it hard core, I'd say 1.75 hours at most.

I am looking for blank ring bases. They usually have a pad in which you can glue things on them. I have looked at a few different stores and also asked a local bead shop. No luck. I found some on esty but the seller is in Hong Kong and i would love to find them in bulk for a better deal...Can anyone help? Thanks!

No photos today, I'm sorting all my fabrics and deconstructing some jackets of mine from the 80s (they are something else, let me tell you!) so I've got nothing for you but a question:

How do you keep track of your projects and project planning? Do you? I am looking for something to help me sort all my resources, patterns, and plans. I'm doing some work in the dining room (my formal dining room is actually my craft room) to organize my world o' crafts and I'm taking all advice.

I really did search through the memories, for over 15 minutes, I'm sure, and I can't find anything having to do with bottle caps! Imagine that! I thought I'd find bazillions of things.

My collection is getting pretty vast. I have about 175 of varying brands and colors. What can I do with them? I tried filling some with hot glue and putting them on a ribbon as a necklace, but it ended up being too heavy and kind of scratchy by the end of the day. I want to make something AMAZING.

Thanks for your help already.

I'm getting into making cute little figurines with Sculpy and tho I am VERY new to it, for my first time using it, I made TWO little creatures.

I will have photos in about 20 minutes, but I wanted to know if anyone had any tutorials on how to make little guys like stolenmilkcrate made in this post :HERE:.

The tuts I found online are cool, but not what I am looking for. I really like those little creatures and am dying to make a little family of them!

Thanks for any tips you can give, I will post photos very soon of the two I made!

*****EDIT, added photos of my first ever creations*****
Under here are three pics )

I've been trying to find a place to buy 18" Sterling Silver Omega or Snake chains (Or any round chain) for wholesale.

Preferably someplace Canadian.

I already know about Firemountain but I always end up getting charged a ton of duty and shipping with them. Plus I'm never a good judge at how big or small things are going to be and always end up with the wrong thickness of what I need.

Octo Fun

These are some but not all of the new Octo pendants. If it would just quit raining I could start on more :)

I have been venturing into new media. Mold making with resin has held my interest for some time. So, I decided to make my own molds. Sheesh, what a pain to figure out what will and will not work.

It has been an interesting and somewhat expensive learning process with very mixed results. These pendants I absolutely fell in love with. My husband walked by when I was putting on the final touches, and said the colors reminded him of jelly beans. We were calling them octojellies but it just doesn't roll off the tongue very well. So, I'll come up with a name one of these days.

What do you think? Any comments on improvements would be much appreciated :)

Edit: I should have added this in earlier. The pendants/charms were purchased from fancifulsinc.com. They give permission to make as many as you want from a mold. Even better there are instructions on how to make a couple of types of mold as well.

Inspired by a years-old issue of Martha, I made these little guys with four cheap-y frames from the dollar store, a few layers of tissue paper for the backgrounds, and some leaves I pressed a couple of years ago for this express purpose. It's a cheap and easy way to create some cute wall decor! They're hanging in my bathroom now, keeping me company while I pee.

I have a question.

I am going to *attempt* to resize a t-shirt that is too big for me. I don't have a serger, so I was wondering what kind of stitch I should use? Should I use any special type of thread? (If I can get it to work on just an old t-shirt first, then I am going to do it to the shirt that is too big, and it will be worn a lot, so I want to make sure that it will hold up really well.) Also do you guys have any good tutorials?
